What You’ll Do:
- Deal Sourcing & Database Management: Develop and contribute to the existing M&A funnels by identifying and evaluating strategic software acquisition opportunities for investment portfolios across different sectors. Ensure accurate tracking of information and related documentation.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape and trends within specific vertical markets.
- Financial Analysis: Perform detailed financial analysis on financial statements and underlying data to identify trends and assess business model, business strength and quality. Prepare financial model, valuation analysis (DCF) and carry out analysis of project returns and payback period of investments.
- Due Diligence: Support the due diligence process by reviewing financial statements, contracts, operational data, and other materials provided by target companies.
- Business Case Development: Assist in the preparation of investment memos, management presentations, and detailed reports for internal stakeholders, including senior management.
- Transaction Support: Work closely with the M&A team on transaction structuring, negotiations, and closing processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to support integration planning and post-acquisition activities.
What You’ll need:
- Education: Final-year students or fresh graduates with a degree in finance, accounting, business or related field. who can work full-time for at least 6 months
- Analytical Skills: Very strong financial modeling required; previous internship experience in M&A or at a top tier accounting, capital advisory, investment banking or private equity firm or currently working towards CPA/ACCA/CFA designations is considered an asset.
- Research Abilities: Ability to conduct in-depth industry and company research, synthesize information, and present insights clearly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication in English is a must.; ability to prepare clear, concise reports and presentations.
- Attention to Detail: Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively to manage multiple tasks under deadlines. Strong work ethics, organizational, time management and internet research skills
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office with Advanced Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint skills, familiar to CRM systems and financial database (Capital IQ) is a plus
- Strong Work Ethic: Demonstrated ability to work diligently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a high level of integrity and adhering to strict confidentiality.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
